Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons grated lemon zest
  •  
For Topping
  • ¼ cup sugar or condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
 
 

Method:

 
Preheat the oven to 175 C. Lightly grease an 8×4-inch loaf pan with butter.
 
Mix well, the sugar, butter, eggs, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
 
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Stir into egg mixture alternately with milk. Fold in blueberries, nuts, and lemon zest.
 
Pour batter into the prepared pan.
 
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean, 60 to 70 minutes. Cool bread in the pan for 10 minutes.
 
Mix sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl well, until smooth.
 
Remove bread from the pan and drizzle with glaze and place on a wire rack to cool it down.
